Greg is originally from Saskatoon and received his B.A. (Hons.) in 1989 and thereafter entered into the College of Graduate Studies on a Graduate Teaching Fellowship before entering the College of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1996. Greg was admitted as a Member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan in 1998 after having previously been admitted as a Member of the Law Society of Manitoba in 1997 upon completing his articles with Manitoba Justice Department of Public Prosecutions. Greg's practice has been solely in the area of Criminal Law, and he has travelled extensively throughout the province as part of his practice, with a particular emphasis on justice in northern Saskatchewan. Greg has been defense counsel on numerous high profile cases, including numerous jury trials. Greg has appeared in every level of Court in Saskatchewan and has been featured in Lawyer's Weekly Magazine. As well, Greg is an annual presenter at the Saskatchewan Bar Admissions Program administered by the Canadian Centre for Professional Legal Education and is a member of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association. Greg is also a former Board Member for Lawyers Concerned for Lawyers and has sat as a volunteer Panel Member for Law Society of Saskatchewan discipline hearings.
Greg is an avid runner and cyclist, and he has participated in numerous competitive events across the western provinces, as well as numerous charity running and cycling events throughout Saskatchewan. Greg has been an annual participant in the MS Bike event at Prince Albert National Park over the past number of years and has been one of the top fundraisers for the event in every year that he has participated. Greg has two daughters, Katherine and Alyssa, both now adults, who were actively involved in the arts and dance communities in Prince Albert during their younger years.
