Shelley was admitted as a Member of the Law Society of Saskatchewan in 2009 after completing her Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Social Work and Juris Doctor degrees. Shelley has, during her years of practice, been heavily involved in her community, and particularly with community economic development organizations. Among other involvements, Shelley has been a Director and Executive Member (as well as a member of the Investment and Growth Committee) of the Prince Albert & District Chamber of Commerce, Chairperson and Organizer of the Annual Samuel McLeod Business Awards, Official Representative for the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region, Vice Chair of the Practitioner's Staff Appeals Tribunal, President of Prince Albert Crime Stoppers, Secretary of the Prince Albert Bar Association, District Governor and Member of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association, and recipient of the 2013 Gary J. Bigg Memorial Scholarship awarded by the Canadian Caucus of the American Association of Justice in San Francisco, CA. In addition, Shelley is secretary/treasurer for the Prince Albert Chapter of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors and is as well a Certified Advisor under that organization. Shelley's current practice areas are in Commercial & Corporate, Family Law, Civil Litigation, Real Estate, Wills & Estates, Estate Planning including Powers of Attorney and Guardianship applications, and Municipal Law.
